Sabina was one of the featured speakers at “Strength Through Adversity: Women and Mass Violence” panel organized by The Holocaust and The United Nations Outreach Programme and the USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education in observance of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA.

JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2012

Sabina rehearsed, shot and completed an experimental dance video set to Nouvelle Vague’s “Bela Lugosi’s Dead.”

The video garnered over 6,500 hits on Vimeo within a month of it’s release.

"Summer Abroad" advanced into round two of the Page Awards screenwriting competition. That means top 25% of all entries, which totaled 4,428 this year.

Sabina travelled to Bosnia to scout locations and interview cast & crew for her upcoming feature “Summer Abroad.” You can see photos from the trip here!

APRIL 2011

Sabina was a keynote speaker / honoree at the 3rd annual “Bosnian Women’s Day on Capitol Hill,” a celebration of Bosnian-American women whose work has contributed to the advancement of human rights.

The event was organized by The Advisory Council for Bosnia and Herzegovina (ACBH), Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) and the Heinrich Böll Foundation North America.
